Early Morning Moon

While I was up so early this morning to go birding, I noticed the moon was looking good, so it would have been rude not to take a few shots of it.

Thank you Ben. I don't normally change the White Balance in Lightroom from 'As Shot', but this time I used 'Auto' which gave a much better rendition and more like what I saw.
Due to your comment, I looked again at my shots and noticed that the shot I took at 500mm is better than this shot that was taken at 700mm.
The reason for the different focal lengths is I start my walk with 500mm as there is often a Barn Owl quartering the fields and it's easier (and better) hand holding 500mm to take flight shots. If no Owl then I add an x1.4 converter, as most of the birds on the water are quite distant and I use a monopod.

Hey Kevin,

This is very good! I like the WB on this, it sounds like Auto worked great. I have an extender on my long lens, but I have also found it seems to look better just shooting at 600mm and cropping then using the extender with the moon.

It's great to see the moon!
