Early Morning Sandhill Cranes

Not sure why, but when I first looked at this Larry, it felt like the image was upside down. :)

Nice work with the reflections. I have been down there a few times, but have always hit it during a dead season, so there wasn't much to capture. You got a great group of cranes in this.

Thanks Jim for your comments on the image, appreciated! ;)

The best time to go to the Basque is between mid-November to mid-December. When Kathleen and I were there in late November there were 8500 Sandhill Cranes on the reserve and over 40,000 light geese, plus lots of other birds. We were only there for a day while on a road trip to California. I was so impressed with he Basque that when I got back from California I drove along back to the Basque and spent 2 days down there. It was a blast! :)
