End of Season

Getting cold enough for ice to start covering the lakes. Might just have to give my favorite harbor a rest until early spring. But the peace and quiet that comes in the last days is so much fun:

Hey Tim, this is a great lake scene with those colors and the dock. I like the reflection a lot. The only thing I am trying to figure out is where that blue area in the reflection is coming from in the sky? At least the visible clear parts of the sky still have an orange/yellow cast to it. Is that an area that comes from an area higher up in the sky just out of the visible area? I think I would add some cyan cast to the sky to the clear sky that is weaving between the clouds to be more cyan/blue then orange/yellow. It's a small nit, but it's what jumped to my eyes when I view this.

thanks Jim-the actual sunset is to the left. I think you are right that the blue is from above and out of the frame. I'll play around with your idea and see what I can accomplish.

Now that I tried an edit, its basically a failure. I can move the clear area to a little more blue but it is not enough to bring the sky and the reflection into the same range. Looking at the data on the picture I was shooting at 17mm and probably aiming nearly at my feet. The reflection you see is the the sky straight above . Jim thanks again. The discrepancy is something I should try to be more aware in the future.
