Evening Sky at Pickthorne Lake

Went down to Pickthorne Lake to see what sunset had to offer. A little color north and south but due west was blocked by low clouds and a great sunset never really developed.
But then we started to see some flashes and I made a series of 10-15 sec exposures, hoping.
Modest example, but my first ever catch of lightning!

Hey Barry,

A nice one here, the lightning bolt is just the cherry on top of this. I rarely am in a position or location to capture lightning, so the few times I have are all special to me.

Nice image Barry. It sure is hard to capture lightning, and the wide angle lens doesn't help. I'm still trying to get one.

Sweet image. I caught my first lighting strikes several weeks ago in Joshua Tree. It's a cool feeling when it happens.
