Everlasting

I thought a nicer splash of color would be a nice break after a week of gray days and far too much rain around where I live. This bloom is a plant called Golden Everlasting which also goes by the name Strawflower (Xerochrysum bracteatum). Spotted during a walk in the area around my house a couple of summers ago.
