Fall Color Adornment + Edit

Last month at Split Rock Lighthouse in Minnesota, I was able to get there in peak fall colors. I spent a couple of evenings and morning there getting quite an assortment of sunsets and sunrises. This was one of the better ones, and was really a joy to witness. This was sunset.

Hey Kurt, I could crop some more. I actually cropped some off the right and top already, but let me look at cropping more.

Actually, now that I look at it some more maybe a small amount off the bottom and a little more off the top. If you do any cropping to the left if will move the lighthouse too much toward the center. Sorry, I meant the left side in my previous post.

Lovely colors and a nice location. I see where Kurt is coming from and agree that a more pano composition will make this stronger.

This one is a stunner.. If this were mine I might have cropped this way (see attached).. Disclaimer
I never like to add my own touches to somebody's image without their permission so I checked with Jim via Text and he is ok with it.
My thinking is that .. why fight the verticality here.. so many strong vertical elements in this scene.
