Fall on the Forest Floor

Fall colors can be quite subtle in the Pacific NW forests since the trees are mostly evergreens but the forest floor does display some colorist let you know the seasons are changing. Openings through the trees allows a view of the Tatoosh Mountains in the distance and a bit of sunlight on the forest floor looking south from the Reflection Lakes area.

We missed you - Wednesday wasn't so nice with the wildfire smoke but it cleared out Thursday morning with only hints of it left by the time I shot this. Rain moves in tomorrow and will be here for most of the week ahead.
