Interesting markings - are these members of the warbler family? They don't show up in my Western Bird books.

Hey Tom, woodpeckers! How cool! Growing up in Minnesota woodpeckers were one of my favorite birds because they were so different then any other birds.
 
This looks like a Downey Woodpecker to me, Tom. These are small woodpeckers and the only one that looks like it is a Hairy Woodpecker , which Alan correctly indicated, is considerably larger. The tuft where the beak and head meet is another indicator that it is a Downey Woodpecker.
