First Light - Seestar S30 Pro - Orion Nebula

After owning this scope for a week, I had a brief window to capture a DSO. From a perfectionist standpoint, there's a lot to improve on this image. However, capture was done in Alt/Az mode with a paltry 9 minutes total integration at 10 seconds each. I took the Seestar integrated fits file into Pixinsight and Lightroom. I'm surprised at how little data still yeilded a decent result. Can't wait to put this into EQ mode for longer intergration times.

[Edit] - Decided to do another version of processing. I was not satisfied how I developed the area around the nebula, The second image hopefully looks more natural even if a bit over saturated.

Pretty nice work Bob! I am glad you got some time with it. The 2nd is definitely better. In #2, you crushed the background to just black so then you lost some details. The 2nd, is much better in that regards.

Is #1 an uncropped version? If it's not, can you post the uncropped, even if it's just a straight conversion to jpg without any stretching, or use the jpg that the Seestar will save. I am curious as to how wide the S30 Pro is. It seemed like it would be too wide for me, but Orion is a good standard to know how wide it captures it. Thanks!

Thanks Jim. The second image is definitely better from a processing standpoint. Both images are cropped. I do minimal cropping in Pixinsight and final cropping in Lightroom.
