Flowers in the garden

After weeks of drab, wet, cloudy and windy weather Spring almost arrived today. The wind died down, but didn't stop and the sun came out after a light frost. These are 3 different crops from a series of 34 focus stacked images using the auto focus stacking capabilities of the A7RV and a Sigma 105mm macro lens. The dew was just visible on the crocus but looking closely I was surprised by the patterns produced by the dew. I may get the same conditions tomorrow morning and if so I will be back out but will zoom right into 1 to 1 and see if I can see more detail and patterns in the tiny "dew balls". Ken

Awesome detail! Love those closeups, but also the wider image. Dew on flowers is so special.

I was about to write you and see what's happening over in your corner of the world, so it's great to see you posting Ken.

I love the tiny droplets of dew on these crocuses. I have the same variety of them as you do but most of the time water droplets are much larger than this. This is almost like miniature bubble wrap :)
