Well, hesitate to even post on top of such a gathering of amazing images. I got one I liked form a typical viewing point, seenn already in many of the other images posted. Only samazing thing for that one is that we actually were able to get all the way there still in time to get a few shots. The light, amazing view, and mournful notes of the Native American playing the flute at the end of the day made it all worth it. Gotta get back someday with a lot more time...

Awesome images everyone.. amazing place with unlimited possibilities.
I'll add one..
This was from a trip there several years ago and was also on the cover of: 2013 Outdoor Photographers Magazine landscape special issue .
Only a part of the image is features on the cover along with images from a few other photographers however the whole image was featured inside. It holds a special place in my heart :)

Yes, I thought this thread would be a massive turnout, but count me in. I've been there a few times but only once did I pay the man an exorbitant fee to guide me around. I guess it paid off. Jimmy, my guide, is in the B&W at Big Hogan. I got to camp in there. The next image is MV from Cedar Mesa. The last one is from a roadside craft stand on a marvelous morning.

Only one? :(
Well, until I replace my NAS system (today) and reload all my files from the past, I am not sure what I have...

In the old days, I would only pick one image and process it, regardless of how many I took. Kind of was my philosophy over on that other board, where I would only post one new, current picture... Now I'm changing that idea because it's like only listening to a record once. When you can play it many times... (What's a record?, some may ask!)

I was out slogging around in the snow yesterday so I didn't see this. Here are a few from areas not shown in this thread.

The classic image of the mittens and Merrick Butte with foreground rocks. This is right near the visitor center.

The Tear Drop. You need a guide to get to this location just past Gouldings Lodge on a private road.

You need a guide to get to this location of the sand dunes near the yei bei chai and the Totem Pole.

These are great Doug! It reminds me I need to dig deeper in my archives as I have taken several of the guided tours out there and do have those shots too.

Ha ha, so true! I most often only get 2 or 3 photos from a location processed. Not because I don't want to process more or there are not other good photos from there, but simply I run out of time because I need to start processing some from my next location. The hazard of traveling a lot. :)

I hope your NAS replacement goes well, and definitely look forward to seeing you play more records. I know there are so many jewels in your treasure chest that you have never shared. :)
