Not just IR but I figured it belonged in here. Image was taken with my full spectrum NEX-5 without any filters. Result is from a 7 image burst, stacked to get rid of noise.
Now, obviously the embers don't have this color when viewed with our eyes so I really love how this shows off the different temperatures of the log. The embers at the bottom being far hotter produce a lot of IR and result in an eerie glow when they're used as the white balance point for the image. I ended up color shifting the flames from their original greenish-orange into this orange-red.
