Geese in an April Snowshower

One of the first pictures I've taken with the Canon 70-300mm I bought recently from @Mike Lewis I've wanted this lens for awhile so I was thrilled to finally get it. I haven't had too much of a chance to play with it yet, but I'm already in love with the quality of the image. This was taken during some snow showers we had last week which melted quickly. The geese seemed unhappy about the unwelcomed cold snap, but frankly I think everyone was. But the snow made for some pretty landscapes what with the trees budding and the fields already green.

Somehow those geese look like they are just trudging through the snow. I can almost here them muttering and complaining about why they just couldn't have flown to where they were going....

Great shot, and so glad that lens is working out well for you! It was a great performer for me, and amazingly compact for the reach it has. Looking forward to more fun stuff posted with it!
