golden hour at the farm

Almost looks like what I am looking at out my window tonight without a cloud in sight. Amazingly flat terrain around your area lets you see pretty far away from your flight altitude. This view must look delightful with full fall colors.

Yeah... Alan got me thinking, how come we haven't seen fall colors from around your place? It looks like it would be awesome!

I like how you worked the golden light. How come the farm doesn't have anything growing? It should be bright and green down there.

thanks alan. there's 1 "hill" in the state. it's not much of a hill. nearest mountains are 3 hours away if traffic is good. our fall colors go more towards a flash of orange or red and straight to brown. normally the leaves get stripped by a storm.

thanks jim. i'm usually out of state when the leaves turn. fall color doesn't last long here, if we get anything at all. things go brown pretty quickly. the farm only gets planted for actual crops every few years when the owner rents it out. the old owner of the farm used to farm it, he died and his kids live out of state. they don't want to sell the farm, but can't actually farm it either since they run a tree nursery a few hours away. i'm just glad it hasn't been sold for another housing development.
