Thanks so much Doug!Nice image, Jim. I have spent a lot of time exploring this area and I just don't recognize this location. Where is it in relationship to the main area?
Thanks, Jim. Ah... yes, home projects are always a treat. I used to do a lot of remodeling so I know what you are talking about. Hope you ae fine. Thanks so much Doug!
I took this 7 or 8 years ago, the best recollection for the exact location that I have is when you drive into the Goosenecks I headed to the left and followed that dirt road where it passes some of those open camping areas along the edge of the bluff and I went along there as far as I could and then hiked around a bit.
I guess I am due a trip back there so I can pinpoint this spot again.
And... If I am totally wrong I will blame my grandsons ceiling fan which my head made momentary contact with last night while installing Drywall in his new room.![]()
Thanks Doug, I am doing great, just not on friendly terms with that ceiling fan. Thanks, Jim. Ah... yes, home projects are always a treat. I used to do a lot of remodeling so I know what you are talking about. Hope you ae fine.
I just remembered that there is a Goosenecks Overlook at the Panorama Point location. It is a short hike from the parking lot. Here is a map of Capitol Reef I goggled that shows its location.Yep I think it is. By Panama a pt in capital reef looks right to me. Good idea for asubject Douglas
See my comments above, Jim. Now I can see why you catalogued it with your other goosenecks images from Goosenecks State Park.Well, this isn't actually the Goosenecks, but it is in Gooseneck State Park. As cool and awesome as the Goosenecks are I also enjoyed exploring and shooting some of the other features there. This is a predawn shot from there.
All comments are welcome,
Jim
