Harbor Sunset

Nice shots of this sunset and a great vantage point for it. I find myself gravitating to the second image with the more limited view of the little harbor.

That is how I started too. The pano , at full resolution, eventually work it's way up. The detail in the pano is fun. I tried to post a full resolution version that broke the website uploading ability. You may have to take my word on the pano 👻

If you upload the image into the Gallery you can go up to at least 3000 pixels wide which would show a lot more of those details in the wide scene.

The original is 15000 pixels wide and 276 mb in size, I may have to take care how many of these I save😹

Oh yeah - the 70mm lens on my Mavic 3 Pro is set up for 48MP captures (8056x6040 pixels) so panos get out of hand in a hurry. I will sometimes go up to 3000 pixels wide in a posted panorama but typically try to judge it by the height of the final image and try to stay below 1200 pixels tall. It gets hard to view anything that's taller than most displays have resolution for.

Not to mention the amount of disk space that gets consumer storing the master files for such images. I am wondering when we will start seeing petabyte hard drives for our storage arrays at this rate.
