Hiding in Plain Sight

I was watching a snowy Egret on a small pond at a local park when a blue heron flew into a tree near where I was sitting. He just froze in place and acted as thought I could not see him. I too a few shots, but nothing stood out because of the tree limbs hiding a lot of his body. But I like this shot and gave it the attached title 'Hiding in Plain Sight'.

I'd be shooting away if this kind of opportunity came my way. Nice takeaway from the encounter. The only time I see herons is flying away from me.

That is some pretty good focus Larry. That's funny how he probably really thought he was hidden from view. Good job on this.

Very good Larry. You got eye focus which is the important part, so for me, the image works, especially with the title.

Thanks Ben for the comments. I used manual focus override on this images as the autofocus was confused by the branches.
