High up in the Rockies

I am really running behind here, busy with the grandkids.

I took my 8 year old grandson with me up into Rocky Mountain National Park a few days ago. I rearranged the back of my 4Runner to add a 2nd sleeping area for him. As we were going up there to explore and also stay the night capturing the Milky Way.

He had a blast, it was thd first time I took him alone like that, and the first time he camped out sleeping in my truck. So he was super excited.

Here are a couple of iPhone images I captured up along Trail Ridge Road in the 12,000 foot area.

I love the cloud colors and view in the first image. How deep does the snow get in mid winter up there?

Interesting to see the place in two different times of the day. Like the clouds in both.
