Highballing

There's a funny story with this picture. I had pushed my bike up in front of the old Thompson Railway station to try and take some "retro" type pictures of my bike in front of the old station. (The station is now gone, by the way, in the name of "progress"). As I was busy doodling around I happened to look east and this freight train, totally unexpected, came high-balling toward the bike and I. The train had to be going between 60 - 80 mph. You can't really tell but the bike is only around 1 1/2 feet from the tracks... So I just figured "Oh well" and started taking pictures while the bike rocked back and forth. I figured I'd just buy a new one with the insurance if it suddenly disappeared... Which it didn't because Harley's weigh a ton. I really liked the lucky capture of train motion here...

racy looking harley any special gear
Ben, it's a 2000 FXDX which I bought specifically to make a project bike. I had a plan -- LOL!

So it's:

Bored out.
High compression Screaming Eagle pistons
Screaming Eagle Heads
Andrews Cams
Adjustable pushrods
Thunderheader
Mikuni Carburetor
Pingle Fuel Valve
Screaming Eagle ignition module
And a bunch of Harley doo dads to make it better looking, like the solo seat, rack, etc...

It's very fast for a Harley. And even if it wasn't fast it would feel fast because it's a Harley!
