I visited the Olympic National Park's Hoh Rainforest area last month. I only had one morning in this area, and I was praying for a wet, misty, and foggy day to make some moody photos like are in brochures of this area. What I got was a bright sunny morning, dry as a bone. Oh well ... next time maybe.

One of my favorite places to shoot on the Olympic Peninsula - nice takeaways. Concentrating on small scenes is about all you can do on a sunny day with the off the charts wide dynamic range between deep shadows and the sky.

A nice place to visit and explore for sure. Compositions to hard to come by on a sunny day however. My last visit there ended up on a very rainy day.
