Horsehead and Orion Nebula Mosaic

A season for Horsehead and Orion Nebula is already over but here is a two panel mosaic processed using a narrowband HOS palette. I have done pretty heavy color balance changes in this version. Data is from Telescope Live remote telescopes.

Thanks! I was a bit heavy on the colors but it showed the faint background nebulosity quite nicely.

That’s interesting how this looks with the HOS palette. I don’t think I have seen one like this before and there sure is a lot of detail.

Which plan are you using for Telescope Live? I am really thinking about signing up there.

Hi Jim,

Yeah, I did a lot of color changes with selective color in Photoshop so it does not look like HOS at all. But that was where I started.

I am with SIlver plan in Telescope Live. Sure it would be nice to have own scope AND time to spend the nights out. Now I go with this setup

I do have my SkyGuider Pro setup. Very basic, but I can capture my own Deep Space, but since I have to drive to a dark site, it all depends on weather and all that stuff anyway, so I am only getting about 3 images a month of my own that I can process. It's not enough.

I have found a few places that are giving away free data, and that's been fine, but I would rather have some better choices like Telescope Live seems to give to fill in the gaps when I don't have enough of mine to process.
