I captured this in the Rhyolite Ghost Town just outside of Death Valley last week. I was focused on capturing the Milky Way, but one of the nice things about many of the Smart Telescopes is you can set them up and then have them running in less then 10 minutes.

I am using the S50 in the EQ mode, which improves the quality and consistency of the Seestar by a good 50% or more. It makes for a much more enjoyable capturing session.

197 Light frames @ 30secs
Captured in Mosaic Mode in the Seestar
Stacked and Processed in Pixinsight

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Nice Jim, they keep optimising that Seestar firmware to good effect it seems. With EQ mode, how long can your individual subs be?

Thanks Mike!

60 secs is the longest. You can choose from 10, 20, 30 and 60 secs.

With 30 secs I don't have any subs dropping from not being able to stack. At 60 secs, I get a lot of dropped subs, so I stay at 30 secs.
