Ilulissat Icefjord

In September, 2023, my better half and I traveled on the Sylvia Earle with Aurora Expeditions through the Northwest Passage from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Nome, Alaska. The images below were taken in the Ilulissat icefjord near the toe of the glacier.

Awe.... the Northwest Passage. I remember reading books with stories about that area. I don't recall the stories now, only the name, but how cool that you were able to get there. Those glaciers look see sweet, especially that second one. How many people were on the boat?

Those are some imposing glaciers.

Those are some seriously over the top ice cubes! Absolutely mind boggling. Beautiful shots from a rather amazing journey.

Thanks Jim. There were 70 passengers on the ship. Daily excursions occurred either via zodiac or hiking on land (after exiting the zodiac )
