This is green! I really like this Steven. The water drops on the green (leaf?) is super cool.
Really nice!
Nicely seen. I like the level of detail in this macro.
Very creative.
This is great!
Incredible eye for this.
This is such a fantastic green and details ! IS that a tripod leg I see in the picture?
Nice work, but I’d crop the top out of focus area.
Such a pleasing image. The large sig detracts somewhat.
All,
Thank you for looking and commenting. :)

It likely is what you are seeing, yes. Everything I compose is on a tripod. I like natural light so I sometimes need several seconds of shutter time - can't do that without a tripod. :)

Well, first, I hate to crop. I prefer to do that with what I'm putting in the frame. Secondly, the DOF when working at nearly 2X is VERY shallow, you're going to get some fall off in a single frame unless what you're shooting is nearly flat and you've got the sensor perfectly aligned. Finally, while the top LHS may be a little softer than the other areas, I felt that it was fine because the RHS is good. It shows that the leaf isn't flat and helps give it some additional depth.

Yeah, that's always a trade off. Believe me, I wish I didn't have to do that, but you have to at least make an attempt to protect your work. I spent several months fighting with ideas on how to do it (size, placement, color, etc.) before I settled on what I do. I know that some folks don't like it, and that's OK. You have to make the right decision for what you can live with and you're not going to please everyone. It would be great if we could all post on line without any protection and never have to worry about someone stealing our efforts (or worry about them being used for a puzzle only sold in China). Stinks, but that is the world we live in. :-/
