This camera has been professionally converted with an internal 850nm IR filter. It shoots B+W Infrared ONLY! It has been professionally calibrated for focus with this lens. For the IR purist, the 850nm cutoff filter allows no visible light, unlike the lower wavelength IR cutoff filters. This gives higher contrast black and white images with dark skies and surreal skin tones. Examples below...

Comes with the Nikon 24-85mm VR lens, Sunwayfoto L-bracket, charger, 3rd party battery,, strap, all manuals in the original box. This camera has the upgraded, newer shutter replaced by Nikon, paperwork included. You'll just need to have your own SD card.

$500 for all. I'll pay for shipping to lower 48. Or you can pick it up in Portland, OR.

Hey Michael, this sounds like quite the deal. The lens with it, the 24-85mm is a really great lens too.

That is a really good deal. I just sold my Sony RX100 converted to 590nm along with some other accessories and a 720nm screw on filter on ebay for $500. Of course there is this ridiculous ebay fees of 15%.

Thanks guys, appreciate the good vibes!

I have my eye on some new gear, but promised my wife I won't buy anything else unless I sell off some of my current gear. Fingers crossed.

I sold my baby this afternoon.

For the first time since 2006, I don't have an IR camera. It feels wrong.

Congrats on selling it!

But yeah, I can see where you would feel naked without it. I take mine with me everywhere I go.

I forget, what are your plans going forward? Full Spectrum?

I want to think it through carefully, as I think this next one will be my last. Today, I am leaning toward converting my Z5 to a 590, and get an 850 lens filter for those times when no visible color will do.

I really like 590nm on my D7100. The Z5 is very capable camera.

Is the 850nm going to be a thick filter? I know years ago when I was playing around with a 720nm screw on filter, it was so thick, it was like shooting with a 10 stop ND filter and then I just couldn't use it if it was windy at all because the long shutter speeds would make everything soft.

If everything is soft with your 720, it sounds to me like you need a tripod upgrade! 3 years ago, I bought the stoutest RRS carbon tripod and have not regretted spending all that money - it's bombproof.
