it's dangerous to go alone

the game is called zelda after the princess, but the main character is link. i spent a lot of game time cutting down tufts of grass looking for money only to end up stealing what i wanted from the shopkeeper.

I like the hacked grass stems on the left and the dandelion seed floating by in the background. You are having too much fun with this :)

I have played lot's of Zelda games. I have to admit the very first one I played it was a bit bewildering that I wasn't actually playing Zelda, but I was playing Link.... I guess Zelda is a cooler name to market a game, then Link would be.

Great work here. I did try to do some similar photography with some of the kids toys. But the time I tried, it didn't look any good at all. I am not sure what all you do to get this cool look, but whatever it is, it's over my head. Or under my feet....

Thanks Pepper, You have inspired me to delve more into toy photography, I have lots of figurines but being small they are not realistic enough for my taste, must try your style.

i lock the cable release in and have it take a sequence of shots while i spray fog around it. i picked this one because of the little dandelion seed floating. that inadvertent addition is straight out of the zelda minish cap game.

hmm....never had you pegged for a zelda fan mr. fox. i started with links awakening on gameboy, but managed to play most of the games.

give toy photography another try. get as low as you can to make the figures look big. i'm usually shooting around 55mm on the fuji xt-4. the gfx lenses are physically too big to get low and they don't focus close enough for me.

go for it jon! i'd love to see how you bring your figures to life. sometimes the unrealistic looking figures look the best.
