Jökulsárlón Morning

Here are a couple of wide angle shots from the Jökulsárlón lagoon in Iceland in between being socked in by fog. The clouds cleared nicely in the early morning so I worked to emphasize them with my 14mm in the first. I zoomed a little more into the second to pick up more of the mountains. Any thoughts are welcome.

Those clouds are delightful in both images but I find the first image a bit disorienting with the fog obscuring most of the mountains. The ice seems more prominent than the mountains. The second one gives me a better view of the context for this scene. Interesting place.

The 2nd is a bit busy for me. I keep bouncing back & forth between the icebergs & mountains. For me, with the 1st, cropping a bit of the sky balances it better.

Wow, incredible sky, a photographers delight! And, as others have said, those mountains too! Very Nice!!

Lovely location and the clouds add a lot to the scene. I have to go with the second one. The mountains are more prominent and the blue ice blocks provide a nice foreground.

Hey Kyle,

These are some sweet shots! I will go with #1 as my favorite. :)

With #2, I do like it, but I wonder if toning down that hot cloud would benefit the shot? It's so bright it keep pulling my eyes away from those wonderfully lit mountains.
