The only lens I used for wildlife on this trip was the Sony FE 200 to 600.

I'm trying to imagine what my heart rate would have been if I was behind the shutter. These are wonderful photos Eric.

I was never in danger. The jaguars are accustomed to people in boats; it’s a different story for those walking alone at night.
Here’s a story I may have shared in an earlier post:

When a jaguar is spotted, the call goes out, and 15 boats rush to the spot, cameras snapping away. On one of these encounters, the lady in the next boat, just inches from me, suddenly gasped, "What do you do if a jaguar attacks you?"

Nobody on her boat answered, so I leaned in and said, "If a jaguar attacks, reach back, grab a big handful of shit, and throw it in his face. That should stop him."

Puzzled she asked, "But where will I get the shit?"

"Oh, trust me, it'll be there when you need it."
