Is this the Foree area in the north part of the Sheep Creek Unit? The knob in the middle here is a greenish blue in visible light if I have the location right. The B&W in IR light makes it hard to make a positive ID. The colors in that area are notably weird and this rendering almost makes the place look normal :)

Thanks Alan. Yes, it's part of the Sheep Rock Unit, I've been there several times and NEVER found it crowded. Can't say that about the Painted Hills Unit down the road.
Love it Michael! This is a location I have yet to visit. I need to get up there. I like the B&W.
Thanks Jim. Come on up. You will find many good night shooting locations there!

Agreed - this thread shows the same formation in color from the other side from a visit about 6 years ago. Fully agree about the lack of people in this part of the monument - no one in sight during my visit there. Lots more back down the road at the visitor center and the Blue Basin trailheads. Even less people around at Cathedral Rock but there's no parking area for that formation in the first place
