Joshua Tree at dusk

So...I went on a solo evening/night trip to Joshua Tree last night. I arrived at 4:30, and I left at midnight. This is a composite shot. It is two shots. One is for just about everything at 70mm, the other shot was just for the moon at 200mm. I love the color gradient here. There were no clouds last night, so I was kind of bummed about that.

Simply beautiful. I love the simplicity of the image--stripped of all non essential ingredients, yet it retains drama, balance, and color in spades.

Yes, this one (same as #3 in your other post)!
I found that rather than shooting the moon separately with a tele lens, it easier to just copy it from a wide angle shot, and enlarge in PH to the reasonable size.

Hey Ryan,

Yep, this one is good. And when you can get the sky to have that type of a gradient, clouds would have been a distraction! :)
