A Juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker, Dendrocopos major that visits my garden. I think I need to move back a bit so I can get the complete bird in the frame, That's a cheaper option than buying a new lens :D

Very colorful woodpecker - I'd love to see a fully mature specimen. The last image does a good job of displaying the whole bird so you don't need a new lens yet :)

Moving back further to get all of the bird might be the most sensible choice, but it's not the most fun choice! :)

Woodpeckers are one of my favorite birds, though I rarely get to see them. Hopefully when I get to Minnesota for fall colors I will be able to spot some.
