Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park recommendations

My wife and I are headed out west to Kings Canyon and Sequoia for a week of camping, hiking and of course photography. For those that have been there, what are some must see vista's for sunrise/sunset as well as places to visit. I know the typical stuff that is listed online but always value fellow photographer's perspectives. Any insight, tips or recommendations greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance :)

The only location I can say is enjoyable as a recreational spot, not necessarily for photographing, is Dinky Creek. We go there every year the last 8+ years. Sorry for not having any answers for you. lol.

You don't say when you are going. If you still haven't gone, take a look at this TV show. It runs 20 minutes without commercials. It does only focus on Kings Canyon but I found it interesting and plan to visit there later this year.

As an FYI, the Motion show is no longer in production, but you can navigate to an archive of their old shows which include many NPs as well as many shows based around the Eastern Sierra. They are also being shown again on TV on the LiveWell Network if you get that. It is one of the ABC HD networks. I get it OTA.

The same guys also have a new show that will be on PBS again this year starting in July I believe. The second link below has some old shows available to watch online.
