Large Buffalo just west of Denver

There is a small group of buffalo off I70 heading west out of Denver. This guy gave me a nice pose and in great light.

Nice specimen but I wish we didn't have to see them in fenced off areas. Cattle ranchers have had quite a bit of influence in not allowing them to roam free anymore.

The things is, the whole west is fenced. I don't think it's any bias towards Bison, but I could be wrong.

I just wish we could see more Bison. Even with as much as I travel, they are so rare to see.

Hi Alan, this is a small captive herd that roams both side of I70 vie a tunnel under the road. I think the fence is to keep them off the highway and other road in the area.
