Latourell Blues

Latourell Falls, in the Columbia River Gorge, shown here in 590nm Infrared. My normal processing usually includes a Red-blue channel swap to make the sky go blue, but here I omitted that step to show the colors my internal filter gives straight out of camera.

There is a lot of times I enjoy the IR without the channel swap. And this is one that looks super good this way. Good one!

Almost makes me want to wonder what planet I am looking at :)

Interesting palette. Without the surrounding foliage to give away the IR rendering the fall themselves look 'muddy'.
Thanks guys! I am finding that scenes with more foliage have a better chance of looking good to me without a channel swap. Scenes with more sky and clouds I tend to channel swap.

The only time I shot Latourell in IR I had a 720nm filter on and shot from the upper viewpoint. Down by the footbridge takes on a more interesting look.
