Interesting shot to play with. There was a somber mood (fitting for a graveyard) to the original I wanted to try to preserve so I was selective about shadow recovery and left the overall scene a bit on the dark side.

Like Ben I cleaned up a lot of the leftover flower offerings around the scene but left the original crop intact.

A very good entry Alan. I think I will be processing mine in a similar vein. I think some darkness is good for a graveyard scene.

Wow, this was a tricky one. The highlights on that rear cross were tough. I used a Gaussian blur to tame some of the brighter areas and then used some selective sharpening to bring the focus into the foreground. I think if I would have used a crop similar to Ben's I might have had greater success.

Tried a few different ways to tackle this. Settled on the B&W as well. It was a difficult image to work on, primarily because I couldn't get a feel for it at all.

In any case here it is.

If someone has a spare moon laying around I think this image is really crying for a moon..

Okay, here is my take. All I really did was use the Dehaze adjustment in ACR. I did a full -100 Dehaze for the image. I then did a 2nd conversion at -70 Dehaze and then just layer masked in the front most cross to help it retain some detail. I wanted to go for more of a misty mood. The Sepia look was just the result of the Dehaze, I didn't adjust the color or add Sepia to it.
