This past fall I was wandering up and down Rt 550
between Durango and Silverton. This colorful spot caught my eye.
You are right Alan....a little too much on the yellow side. How does this look?Beautiful scene but you might want to check the color profile for this image - the color balance seems off.
SrgbThe clouds and the sky still seem off. What is the color profile assigned to this image? It almost feels like RGB instead of sRGB.
Curious - on my screen (and it appears similar for others above) the skies and clouds have a yellow/green cast that is consistent with color profile conversion gone sideways.Srgb
My monitor is calibrated with a Spyder. I just rechecked it and it is fine. PS is set for sRGB and so is the monitor. It is kind of interesting re the cloud color. On the upper right the clouds have a very slight green cast near the right border. However the middle to left side of the sky the PS eyedropper shows that the color mix of the clouds are very close to neutral in color. After going into PS-->Image-->Adjust-->Gamma Adjust and sliding to the right the image gets the kick it needs. What do you think. You are right Alan....a little too much on the yellow side. Atmosphere was not "dirty" but was heavy with moisture. That could be it. All of your comments are helpful....thanks.The clouds up front look better and the patches of sunlight on the trees is more evident in this version. Patch of sky has more blue here as well. Was there smoke in the air that would make the clouds at the skyline seem like they in a haze?
