Hey guys,

I just got back from Norway last night and since I was wired from 4 flights I just decided to work on photos through the night instead of sleep :D

I went with 2 photo buddies from the UK and we tent camped through the mountains and a few beaches. This was my first time seeing the aurora as well and we got it every night so that was super cool.

Too bad there is apparently nothing to shoot for a landscape photographer in Norway.....;)

Seriously, some gorgeous scenery. Makes me want to travel there. Congrats and get some sleep!

Stunning. Very nice set - glad you decided to share these images with us instead of sleeping :D

I have been watching the UCI World Championships bicycle races in Bergen Norway this last week and have been thoroughly charmed with that part of Norway. This just adds to my desire to travel there now.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like them! This seems like a good time of the year to go as well. The peak tourist season is over and we only had trouble parking at one trailhead of one of the very popular hikes. We ended up going the other route a little further down the road and it ended up being a much nicer hike anyways. I needed more than 7 days though so I'll be going back :D

Hey Jordan,

These shots here are really awesome! I had no idea Norway was that cool.

I don't think I can pick favorites as most of them speak to me.

#1 has beautiful spotlighting.

#2 has that subtle lighting that is very mysterious.

#3 with an aurora? I am officially jealous!

#4 as a B&W really is so striking.

#5 has a very mystical feel to it.

Way to go here,
Jim

Wow! What a fantastic set of images! Thanks for posting!
Many thanks you guys, I really appreciate the comments! It was nice going to a place where I really didn't know too much about what I was going to see :)

Fabulous set, Jordan! You have motivated a number of our forum members to get on over here to see what great scenery we have! Norway is one place I've never seen and, as my wife is really motivated to see the Northern Lights, I think I'll be heading tha way soon! I really like the light and colour in the first on and the atmosphere in the Northern Lights one. Well done, indeed!

Thank you very much. So many great places to see the lights over there. Light pollution is non existent :D The first time I saw a coronal mass ejection occur I nearly lost my mind. The way it moves can only be appreciated in person. I hope you get the chance to visit soon and have some great light shows!!

Hey Jordan,

It's a bit of effort for sure, but if you ever think about writing up a travel guide for that part of Norway, we will have just the spot for it in the Travel forum. :)

Once we get a few more of them, I will make a separate Article Category to host them in. Also if you have ever thought of Blogging we still need some guest bloggers to start filling out that section too.

Hey Jim,

Yeah man that would be cool. I'll put something together over the next week the best I can. Still a little shaky on names and locations of the areas we were but I have a good map :D I can help with the blogging as well, I wrote quite a bit when I spent the year traveling around the country and really enjoyed writing them.

That sounds awesome Jordan!

I used to write a lot too, and enjoyed writing, so at some point I would like to do some of the blogging also, but for now my main focus is the continued development and programming of the forum as we are still heavy with some modifications and improvements as the forum starts out.

My favorite is the first and fourth. I like the rich coloring of first image, and a spectacular landscape. The fourth image is interesting with almost a fog effect from the slow shutter speed of water.
