Lunar Eclipse over Oamaru

I had not expected to be able to see the lunar eclipse last week--the weather forecast called for cloud until suddenly that changed on the morning of the event--so I was a bit unprepared, but I managed to get myself situated on a favourable spot as the moon was set to rise. Unfortunately, there was a bit of low cloud that obscured the moon as it rose above the horizon, so it was only visible after it reached about 10 degrees or so.

Hey James!

It's been a while, seeing your posts this morning put a smile on my face! :)

That's awesome that the weather changed for you and you got to see it. I really like your last minute thinking on how to compose this, it worked out really well.
