M8 and M20 (Lagoon and Trifid Nebulae)

My latest target was this pair of nebulae that I started to shoot earlier in the month but toward the end of the night the "Cumulus Nebula" jumped in the way, giving me not enough O-iii images for a decent stack. I had to wait until two nights ago for conditions to allow me to collect more subs, and this time I had all night on the one target. So this shot comprised 14-1/2 hours of data, collected in 600-second narrowband frames, shot on my 80mm refractor with a ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro and a ZWO AM5 mount.

Ha ha.... those cumulous nebula's are getting a bad reputation I think.... :)

I am really liking this a lot. Your Lagoon nebula is one of the best I have seen. Love the colors and details in it. Now you have me thinking I need to recaptured the Lagoon, to see if I can up my game on it.

How nice of you to say that! Thanks!
