This was the last real snow here with weeks of heavy snow with the main road East of here under approx 6ft of snow and farms in the Hills needed the Air Force to helicopter food in for the people and animals. This image, found and processed for the first time today, from approx 600yds from home. Ken

The 6ft was drifting, 18" was normal snowfall. In the hills the cut off villages had 12ft drifts and even the snowblowers couldn't get through. I am ready to just be able to travel but it is still illegal but I should get my first vaccination either this week or early next week so an end to total lockdown is in sight. Ken

I like it Ken. Wide expansive scene with bare trees and lot of snow - makes for a compelling composition. The pano aspect works.

Nicely done. The heavy falling snow gives it an impressionistic feel. The dog walker really makes it for me though.

Good luck on your vaccination. I had #2 3 weeks ago, but until a whole lot more people get theirs, carefree travel will still be a faint memory.

Thanks Monika, Thursday next week for#1. I don't think that International travel will never be the same again with insurance costs and airfares climbing steeply. It looks as though we could travel to Scotland in the late summer/ autumn if we don't get a really nasty virus mutation. Vaccination is going quite quickly here with 24% of adults having had their first dose. I used to find it odd when cycling in Europe in some of the least polluted areas on the planet, a bus would stop and 50 Chinese people would get off wearing masks. I thought that they were an anti polution measure but unfortunately I know better now and perhaps we may all be travelling like that in the future. Ken
