While I love the big vistas, I also like to go looking into smaller detail. There is beauty and landscapes to be found there too.

The Footprint, taken at Mesquite Dunes during one of my Workshops in Death Valley last January. Leica S (Typ 007), Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters.

Thanks for viewing, best regards

Hey Vieri,

Yeah, I love those small hard areas between the dunes. Such great detail in them. Nice work on finding one you can shoot, there aren't that many of those areas, and most take a bit of hiking to get to.

Hey Jim,

thank you very much, I am glad you enjoyed it! :) Yes, it takes a bit to find these spots... which makes it even more fun! ;)

Nice. The b&w works well and the vignette is a nice touch as well.

Nice detail around the subject and the contrast to bring that out was handled very well Vieri.

I love this, dark and moody.. almost looks like the back of a sea monster above the waves of the ocean.
Hello Aaron,

thank you for your comment, glad you enjoyed it! :) I thought it looked like a fossil footprint or something, but the back of a sea monster would do as well, and the sand doubles nicely for the sea here! :D Best regards,
