Messier 83, the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy

My monochrome rig is in the hospital with a defective filter wheel so I was only able to shoot with my "secondary" rig, the 8" SCT with OSC camera. I figured it might be nice to shoot this target again and combine with data from last year, and I'm pleased with the result. Altogether this is 14 hours 20 minutes of integration (172 5-minute subs), and the presence of an 80% or so moon didn't seem to affect things too much.

I sure love how this came together James! It looks really sweet.

I hope your filter wheel gets sorted out. @Mike Lewis dealt with some filter wheel issues a few years back and it was a pain for him.

Thanks. I have been in touch with ZWO and (after a bit of senseless back and forth, in which they wanted me to send them an image of my ASIAIR not connecting to the EFW, which struck me as pointless) they have suggested I need a new control board, which they are sending my way. In the meantime I've also ordered a replacement, which will give me a spare and possibly an opportunity to set up the old one to use with an eventual new monochrome camera for my SCT.
