Milky Way at Factory Butte - Timelapse

This is a timelapse from Factory Butte in Utah! I was out there with @Amy Nelson and we got there in the dark and set up in the dark with no real stars showing, just some clouds. A storm started up with some cool lightning. Most of the strikes were just so bright though, they were difficult to capture, though I did manage to capture a few. And then the rain came! So we tossed our gear back into our vehicles real quick and road out the storm, which didn't last too long. After the storm, the clouds had broken up some and we could see stars and the Milky Way was poking through!

All of that to tell why this timelapse isn't more of my typical sunset to sunrise timelapse. It's just the middle of the night. :)

Fantastic! The clouds really make it for me. Like I said in your post of a still your exposure and processing is spot on.
