My first attempt at processing a mineral Moon and another.

Very nice Yervant! Great work on both. Was the full moon color captured recently?

I do really like the color, it’s cool I think to see the colors in it. I might go color on one of my full moon images I capture in a the next day or two.

Fun pair of images. I also feel like the 2nd is interesting, but it is the 1st one with the excellent handling of dynamic range and detail that really is breathtaking. That one looks to have been taken above the atmosphere

The Moon has many mineral deposits in the soil. Doing multiple layers of photoshop brings the colors out. Usually the interpretation is up to the photographer. It was my first time doing it and very labor intensive.

The first it my favorite. I think I got very lucky with the atmosphere being just so steady. Although, I have good success shooting the Moon, I was indeed surprised how crystal like I captured this image.
