Miss Daisy +Edits

A rainy morning display of some colorful daisies. Not in my garden or anyone else's yet as they were potted plants for sale near one of the doors at a supermarket. Shot with an iPhone 15 Pro and processed using a linear profile.

Thanks Jameel - I got the iPhone profiles from Tony Kuyper's blog site and described them in this thread a few days ago.

I had read that thread. I have been using linear profiles on and off for a while. I haven’t done anything serious with iPhone images yet. Recently upgraded to the 15 pro so hopefully have better images to work with than my 11 pro I had.

I don't think the 11 Pro could save .DNG files so there is more room to play with the 15 Pro. The TK site had linear profiles for the 11 Pro and I downloaded them but they don't seem to do much with the .HEIC images.

Hey Alan,

Monika has such a great eye.

I really liked the change to the green, but then in the first edit I thought the flower colors could be just a tad bit more saturated, and as I scrolled down I saw Monika said it as well and I saw the 2nd edit.

Thanks Jim - the last edit worked out the best. This was one of those edits that benefited from walking away from it for a day or two before looking at it again. Linear color profiles have a characteristic of crushing the lighting and colors as a starting point but that is often for the best once you can take over instead of using predetermined profile curves.

The edit looks much better. The thing with linear profiles is that it gives you so much headroom to work but also requires quite a bit to get it right.

Thanks - and I fully agree with the notion that getting it right using a linear profile is definitely more work. This image was a good example of that one. I should have left it for a day and come back to finish the edits later.
