Montana Bison

I drove down to the National Bison Range yesterday and got a little up close and personal time with a group of bison near the road. The weather this time of year is always interesting, in the hour I was there I had rain, snow, hail, and some beautiful sunshine. Here are a couple of favorites. As always, any thoughts are welcome.

These specimens look well fed and healthy. Nice roadside view of them. Sounds like you have just about everything for weather right now up there.

That's just amazing detail Kyle. It snowed last night in Colorado, I had thought about driving to an area with Bison to see if I could capture them with snow on them. That plan didn't work out, so it's great to see these ones from you.

I tried one shot with the snow falling and the mountains in the background. Just too much mess and blur from the snow to work well
