Hi Jim,

I really like #2. The balance in the foreground between snow and grass is great. Did you bracket at all for that one? It looks like you have a fair amount of noise (from lifting the shadows?).

Thanks for all the comments. I haven't skied St. Helens in many years. It would be good to get back this year for some spring skiing when my leg heals. It is kind of a pain since it's so popular (the easiest volcano in the state) it is heavily regulated and permits are best reserved far in advance so tough to do without prior planning.

Early summer skiing back in the 90s. Pumice grit blows and covers the surface of the snow as the season progresses, but is still quite skiable. We joke that it provides a free base grind for our skis.

I cringe thinking about what all that pumice is doing to the bottoms of your skis.
