Moraine Lake

I took this on an autumn trip to Banff a couple of years ago. Sunrise at Moraine Lake was the first thing I did, and while it is always an amazing scene, the photos from that first morning lacked clouds. On the last day of my trip the forecast looked good so I drove back for another shot at it. This morning the breeze was a little stronger so I found a sheltered spot near the water to get the reflections I wanted.

Any thoughts are always welcome.

Hey Kyle,

Nice work on going back to this, those clouds add a great touch.

I think the clouds in the sky need a bit more gold added to them so that they match the look of the reflection better.

I was hoping to get up there for fall colors, but it sounds like they have some major wildfires up there.

Thanks for the feedback Jim. Here's a relatively subtle edit, removing some overall saturation (it was bothering me a little) and adding some extra color into the clouds at the sky. I don't mind seeing more color in the reflection, since it is darker, but I do like having a little more in the sky.
