We are heading up to Crested Butte later this week to get some wild flower shots and scout areas for aspen shooting in early October.

Hey Larry, It will be interesting to see what's left of the wildflowers over there. The flowers peaked 2 weeks early this year, so they will be on a decline.Thanks for the comments Alan, appreciated!

When I was there a week ago, I would call this years bloom a super bloom. I haven't really seen others use the word super bloom for SW Colorado this year, I would say along with the early peak, thats what I would call it. So hopefully there will still be some for you when you get there.

Thanks for the info Jim. We are leaving tomorrow for 3 days, so we will have time to explore in the area. Will let you know how the wildflowers are doing and post a few images here next weekend!

Kenosha Pass is still great for aspen in the fall, but hard to get to on weekends because of huge crowds of people and cars flocking up there to see the gold!
