Morning on the Mountain

That's really cool Alan! I like how nice the 166mm pulls you in. It makes me want to make a trip up there now! Though perhaps spring might be a bit more comfortable.

Thanks Jim - this view isn't nearly as dramatic at 24mm but jumps right out at 166mm. As for the seasons there is a better chance of seeing the sun in the spring. It's been a few days since I have seen anything other than gray all day long.

the simple warm/cool color pallet, the layers of the ridges & trees in the foreground and the sun reflecting off of the side of the mountain does it for me. gorgeous!

It has been too cold for drone flying for me. I see that DJI announced it would no longer enforce do not fly zones. Have you noticed a change with your drone?

Thanks! Incredibly complex flight plan for this view: Step out on deck; launch drone and fly straight up; shoot picture; land 🤣

Thanks Tim - I haven't noticed a change but I typically check the FAA sectional maps carefully when planning flights and avoid flying in restricted areas.

Edit: I should have also mentioned that I haven't flown for about a week with the fog we have been experiencing so haven't seen any differences yet anyway :)
