A view of Mt. St. Helens from a nice sunrise a week ago. Single shot with a 166mm lens cropped to 16x9.

Thanks Michael - this view direction wasn't as crazy as the view looking towards Mt. Hood but still had a very nice first light view with the colors coming in from the east.Lovely pastel colors, very warm feeling from this one!
Thanks Peter - I wish we got more mornings like this one but Mother Nature decides this sort of eventBeautiful morning.. with beautiful pastel colors. Nice shot.
Thanks Jim - this view isn't nearly as dramatic at 24mm but jumps right out at 166mm. As for the seasons there is a better chance of seeing the sun in the spring. It's been a few days since I have seen anything other than gray all day long. That's really cool Alan! I like how nice the 166mm pulls you in. It makes me want to make a trip up there now! Though perhaps spring might be a bit more comfortable.
Thanks Jameel - it was a nice change from endless grays.Very nice soft light with the glow on the mountain.
Thanks! Incredibly complex flight plan for this view: Step out on deck; launch drone and fly straight up; shoot picture; landthe simple warm/cool color pallet, the layers of the ridges & trees in the foreground and the sun reflecting off of the side of the mountain does it for me. gorgeous!
Thanks Tim - I haven't noticed a change but I typically check the FAA sectional maps carefully when planning flights and avoid flying in restricted areas.Alan-great job
It has been too cold for drone flying for me. I see that DJI announced it would no longer enforce do not fly zones. Have you noticed a change with your drone?
